Michael A. Powers has been an investor for over 30 years and is an active real estate broker in Massachusetts, South Carolina and New York. Michael enjoys teaching and was an Adjunct Professor of Engineering at Manhattan College. additionally, he has 3 degrees in engineering from NYU .
Michael manages and owns more than 100 doors in 4 states and he has volunteered to share his 30 years of knowledge and learning in a 3 hour class with a 15 minute question and answer period, so as to share his approach and success in real estate . He will also share his Ten Commandments for Real Estate Investors, as well as review various formulas and rules which all investors must know, i.e., Cap Rate, Return on Money Invested, DSR ratio, and Rule of 72. The critical area of tax consequences and what all investors must know about short term capital gains, long term capital gains, 1031 exchanges, cost segregation and depreciation will be covered. As will the importance of working with a CPA and financial advisor.
Goal setting, different types of financing and various actual case studies will be covered.
All proceeds will go to benefit the Siena Francis House Homeless Shelter in Omaha, Nebraska. The suggested tax deductible contribution is $100 dollars.
